Given the Movie (Japanese: 映画 ギヴン, Hepburn: Eiga Givun) is a 2024 Japanese animated romantic drama split into two parts. Directed by Noriko Hashimoto and written by Yuniko Ayana, it adapts the manga series by Natsuki Kizu. Produced by Lerche and distributed by Aniplex, the two-part film is the second and third entry in the film series, following the 2020 film of the same name. It directly continues that story and serves as the final adaptation of Kizu's original manga.

The voice cast features Shōgo Yano, Yuma Uchida, Masatomo Nakazawa, Takuya Eguchi, Fumiya Imai, and Taito Ban, all returning to their roles from earlier installments. The first part, *Hiiragi Mix*, debuted in Japan on January 27, 2024, and the second, *To the Sea*, followed on September 20, 2024.

**Synopsis**

*Hiiragi Mix*: Given auditions for a music festival but does not qualify. Meanwhile, Hiragi and Shizusumi's band, SYH, prepares for a major show but loses its guitarist. To salvage the band and his own emotions, Hiragi asks Ritsuka Uenoyama to fill in. As the two bands' paths cross, Hiragi confronts unresolved feelings toward Shizusumi, leading to a quiet but powerful emotional shift. Through rehearsals, performances, and intimate moments, the film follows Hiragi's journey toward self-forgiveness and his evolving connection with Shizusumi, ending on a hopeful, understated note as their bond deepens beyond friendship.

*To the Sea*: Mafuyu feels conflicted and uncertain about his future, hesitating to accept an invitation to debut with his band Given despite their growing momentum. At the same time, SYH moves forward with debut plans, with Ritsuka temporarily joining to finish a song Hiragi entrusted to him. When Mafuyu sends Ritsuka a message saying, "I want to see you," Ritsuka rushes to him, only to find Mafuyu emotionally withdrawn and resistant to music. Caught between his love for Ritsuka, lingering grief, and a complicated relationship with music, Mafuyu remains stuck in silence until a surprising offer from renowned violinist Ugetsu Murata opens a new path for him to consider.
