Capcom is developing and publishing Resident Evil Veronica, a survival horror remake of the 2000 game Resident Evil – Code: Veronica. Scheduled for a 2027 release on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X and S, it follows siblings Claire and Chris Redfield three months after the Raccoon City disaster. Claire, searching for her brother in Paris, is captured by Umbrella and imprisoned on Rockfort Island, where a T-virus outbreak occurs.

Development and release
The 2000 Dreamcast title Resident Evil – Code: Veronica is getting a remake, joining Capcom’s updated versions of Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4. Built with the company’s RE Engine, the project was announced at Summer Game Fest on June 5, 2026, when executive producer Jun Takeuchi and host Geoff Keighley revealed it during the event’s opening trailer. The remake is set to launch in 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.
