In the 2003 playoffs the Patriots beat the Tennessee Titans 17–14 at home, in one of the coldest games in team history, and then met the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship Game. New England intercepted co-MVP Peyton Manning four times, three of them by Ty Law, and won 24–14 to advance to Super Bowl XXXVIII against the Carolina Panthers.
