At the time, he had recorded 15 goals and 28 assists through 56 games. Sullivan recorded a hat trick in his first game with the Predators, and tallied 10 points in his first three games with the team. As a result, he was named the NHL's Offensive Player of the Week for October 9–16, 2005. In February 2007, Sullivan suffered a debilitating back injury in a game against the Montreal Canadiens that forced him out of action for the remainder of the season, all of the season, and the first half of the season.
