Naruto: Shippuden season 20

The twentieth season of *Naruto: Shippuden* adapts Part II of Masashi Kishimoto's manga. Its main storyline follows Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Kakashi Hatake as they try to stop Madara Uchiha and the Infinite Tsukuyomi, unaware that Zetsu is secretly Kaguya's will and will ultimately betray Madara. The season also includes episodes partially adapted from the light novels: one arc shows characters trapped within their own dreams under the Infinite Tsukuyomi, while another side story explores Itachi Uchiha's childhood in the Leaf Village and his early years with the Akatsuki. Hayato Date directed the season, which was produced by Pierrot and TV Tokyo. It originally aired in Japan from May 2015 to April 2016. The English dub premiered on Adult Swim's Toonami block, running from October 16, 2022, to October 1, 2023. Three DVD collections were released in Japan: *Infinite Tsukuyomi: The Invocation* on February 3, 2016; *Jiraiya Shinobi Handbook: The Tale of Naruto the Hero* on June 8, 2016; and *Itachi Shinden: Book of Light and Darkness* on November 2, 2016. The season features seven musical themes: two openings and five endings. The first opening, "Kaze" by Yamazaru, plays from episodes 414–431; the second, "Line" by Sukima Switch, from episodes 432–458. The endings are "Kotoba no Iranai Yakusoku" by Sana (episodes 414–417), "Niji no Sora" by Flow (418–431), "Troublemaker" by Kanikapila (432–443), "Sonna Kimi, Konna Boku" by Thinking Dogs (444–454), and "Ao no Lullaby" by Kuroneko Chelsea (455–458).
