Naruto: Shippuden season 13

The thirteenth season of *Naruto: Shippuden* adapts material from Part II of Masashi Kishimoto's manga, with Hayato Date directing and Pierrot and TV Tokyo producing. The story centers on the Fourth Great Ninja War, pitting Naruto Uzumaki and the ninjas of the five Hidden Villages against the forces of the masked ninja Tobi and Kabuto Yakushi, and also includes a side story arc unrelated to the main plot. The season originally aired from August 23, 2012, to January 10, 2013. The English dub debuted on Neon Alley on January 10, 2015, and later aired on Adult Swim's Toonami block from November 24, 2019, to April 5, 2020. A DVD collection titled *The Seven Ninja Swordsmen* was released on April 3, 2013. Director's cuts of episodes 290 to 295 were issued as two special edition DVDs, *Power: Black* and *Power: White*, on July 3, 2013, and August 7, 2013, each containing three episodes from that arc. Four musical themes are used: openings "Totsugeki Rock" by The Cro-Magnons (episodes 276–281) and "Moshimo" by Daisuke (episodes 282–295); endings "Kono Koe Karashite" by Aisha featuring Chehon (episodes 276–281) and "Mother" by Mucc (episodes 282–295). The sixth feature film, *Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie*, was released on July 28, 2012, and broadcast versions of episodes 276 and 277 include scenes from the film in their opening themes while retaining the music "Totsugeki Rock".
