In Their Own Story
The floodlights hummed over the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, casting long shadows on the pristine pitch as the final ball approached. The air was thick with humidity but silent of fans, replaced only by the nervous energy of the players in the dugout. Rohit Sharma stood at the non-striker's end, his eyes fixed on the bowler, knowing that one more delivery could seal a fourth crown for Mumbai. Kieron Pollard paced the boundary rope, clapping rhythmically, while Jasprit Bumrah walked back to his mark, his expression unreadable but his intent clear. The crowd in the stands was empty, yet the roar of history seemed to echo through the stadium walls as the ball left the hand, a moment frozen in time where four years of relentless pursuit culminated in a single, perfect delivery.
