Gameplay
In Lunar Pool, players shoot a cue ball across virtual tables of varied shapes, some with obstacles, aiming to sink colored object balls into pockets. Losing a life happens after three consecutive shots without pocketing an object ball, or if the cue ball is pocketed. Finishing a level grants one extra life, or two if the player pocketed at least one ball on every shot. A ball's point value comes from its number and the current Rate, which starts at 1 and rises each time a shot pockets at least one ball; missing resets the Rate to 1. Completing a level with no misses earns bonus points. The game ends when all lives are gone or after 60 levels are cleared.
Modes
Lunar Pool can be played alone, against another player, or against the computer. In multiplayer or computer matches, players take turns shooting the cue ball; a turn ends if the player fails to pocket a colored ball or pockets the cue ball. The game includes an adjustable friction setting that affects how quickly balls slow down, simulating different gravity levels, which ties into the lunar theme and the Moon-related background imagery.
