The Volcano

The Volcano is a hunting area that debuted in Monster Hunter 2 and is much larger than the volcano area of the first game. It is a hostile place: walking near the flowing lava is dangerous, the lava spreads at night and changes parts of the layout, and some areas hold explosive rocks that blow up when they take enough damage.
