Somewhere in row K, a woman catches it and whoops. The sound rolls up through the rafters and mixes with the muffled thump of the arena PA warming up. The Badger turns, does a slow, deliberate spin, and disappears back through the tunnel, leaving behind the smell of fresh ice and the echo of a crowd that, for one more night, is exactly where it wants to be.
