Héctor Moreno
Mexican defensive stalwart who played in four World Cups and won titles in the Netherlands and CONCACAF.
Héctor Alfredo Moreno Herrera (born 17 January 1988) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a centre-back.

Moreno progressed through the youth ranks of Universidad Nacional, making his senior debut in 2006. He transferred to AZ Alkmaar in 2007, winning the Eredivisie title. He later played for Espanyol, PSV Eindhoven, Roma, Real Sociedad, Al-Gharafa, and Monterrey. Moreno was a member of the Mexico under-17 team that won the 2005 World Championship. He represented Mexico at the 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022 FIFA World Cups, as well as the 2011 and 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup, the Copa América Centenario, and the 2013 and 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.

Moreno made his senior national team debut on 17 October 2007 in a friendly against Guatemala. He scored his first international goal on 12 June 2012 in a World Cup qualifier against El Salvador.
