The Toros de Tijuana, also known as the Tijuana Bulls, are a professional baseball team based in Tijuana, Mexico, and play in the Mexican Baseball League. Their home field is Estadio Chevron (formerly Estadio Gasmart).
The team’s history begins with the Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos, which moved to Tijuana in 2004 and became the Toros. Their first season as the Toros was 2005, when they made the playoffs, beating the Sultanes de Monterrey before losing to the Pericos de Puebla in five games. The league then reportedly took the franchise from its owner and gave it to new owners, who renamed the team the Potros de Tijuana. The original ownership kept the Toros name, logo, uniforms, and history due to political disputes within the league. That group tried to bring the team to the independent Golden Baseball League in 2005 but couldn’t secure a stadium in Tijuana; a ballpark was reportedly ready in Chula Vista, California. In 2006, they were eliminated in the first round by the Sultanes de Monterrey. The 2008 season was their last in the LMB, finishing 41–61 and sixth in the North Division. The team then moved to Reynosa and became the Broncos de Reynosa.
The Toros returned to the LMB in 2014 by buying the Petroleros de Minatitlán franchise. That year, they finished sixth in the North Division with a 55–58 record. In 2015, they placed fourth and won a wild-card elimination game against the Vaqueros Laguna, 10–3. They then beat the Diablos Rojos del México in seven games in the first playoff round, but lost the division final to the Acereros de Monclova in seven. In 2016, they finished third in the North Zone, eliminated Monclova in four games, then beat the Sultanes de Monterrey in seven to reach their first Serie del Rey, where they lost to the Pericos de Puebla in six games.
In 2017, under manager Pedro Meré, the Toros finished first in the North Division. They beat the Rieleros de Aguascalientes in six games in the first round, then defeated the Sultanes
