Ministrombus is a genus of sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks belonging to the family Strombidae, commonly known as true conchs. The genus contains both living and fossil species.
There has been disagreement among researchers about the validity of the name Ministrombus. Some argue that the name was not properly established by Bandel in 2007, and instead credit it to Dekkers in 2010, who used it at the genus level and attributed it to Bandel. Although Bandel did not provide a clear diagnosis for the subgenus, he included only the type species, which he did diagnose, and this is considered sufficient to make the name available.
The recognized species are: †Ministrombus abrardi, Ministrombus athenius, Ministrombus aurantius, Ministrombus caledonicus, Ministrombus minimus, Ministrombus oceanicus, Ministrombus rhinoceros, and Ministrombus variabilis.
