The animal has tentacles that are joined at the base, with eyes located near the tips. Its foot is covered at the front by a shield-like, ear-shaped lobe, and ends at the rear in a single tapering filament. The shell is oblong, pointed, and cancellated, often with longitudinal ribs. The outer lip is striated on the inside and has a slight sinus near the front. The columella is obliquely grooved or has a single plait at the front.
