"Like a Prayer" music video

The 1989 music video for "Like a Prayer" opens with Madonna running to a church for safety while a black man is arrested. It uses Catholic imagery such as stigmata, and also shows burning crosses and Madonna kissing a black saint. The Vatican condemned the video, and family and religious groups protested against its broadcast.
