Plot
Anakin Skywalker looks into claims that the Separatists have built a new droid, one that is better than any other and cannot be cut by a lightsaber. On Tatooine, the bounty hunter Aurra Sing tracks him, and Jabba the Hutt takes him prisoner. After breaking free, Anakin heads to Coruscant. There he stops a Dark Jedi named Trenox and learns that Count Dooku plans to wreck the Jedi Archives. Anakin foils the scheme, but Dooku gets away. His next mission is Metalorn, where he must wreck the Cortosis Droid Factory and grab Wat Tambor. He does both, then fights and beats Dooku on his way out. This story offers an alternate path to Revenge of the Sith, where Anakin defeats Dooku, becomes a Jedi hero, and pledges to Yoda, "I will always be here to serve the Jedi, Master Yoda, I give you my word."
Gameplay
The game is presented in an isometric view to simulate a 3-D perspective. Players control Anakin Skywalker, using his lightsaber to attack enemies or reflect blaster shots. After each area, new force powers are earned, totaling five: dash, jump, push, faster healing, and invisibility. Stamina decreases when Anakin is attacked, and force power diminishes with each use. There are no health or force items; recovery occurs by standing still or using the meditation power learned later. Non-player characters include civilians, seven Clone Troopers on Coruscant who fight alongside Anakin but do not move and can be killed, and civilian workers on Metalorn who can fall into vats of molten metal.
