Reader's Guide
Across the nations of Loen and beyond, the Sun dictates the rhythm of daily life and supernatural safety. In cities like Tingen or Sefirah, daylight is considered a time when most malevolent spirits cannot manifest fully, offering protection to commoners. Beyonder rituals often specify times relative to the sun's position; some require the warmth of noon for fire-based pathways, while others necessitate its absence. Culturally, solar imagery appears in architecture and heraldry as a symbol of stability against the encroaching darkness of the Outer Deities. Travelers are advised to plan movements during daylight hours when possible, especially in areas with high spiritual pollution. The Sun's presence is a tangible barrier against the madness that thrives under the moonlight.
