June Foray
Granny and Witch Hazel at Warner Bros., and Rocky the Flying Squirrel for Jay Ward.
June Foray (born June Lucille Forer; September 18, 1917 – July 26, 2017) was an American voice actress and radio personality, best known for voicing Rocky the Flying Squirrel, Natasha Fatale and Nell Fenwick, Cindy Lou Who, Lucifer in Disney's Cinderella, and Granny in the Warner Bros. cartoons. Impressed by her Witch Hazel in Disney's Trick or Treat, Chuck Jones invited her to work at Warner Bros. in 1954; there she voiced a series of witches, including Looney Tunes' own Witch Hazel, and Granny, owner of Tweety and Sylvester, whom she first voiced officially in Red Riding Hoodwinked (1955), taking over from Bea Benaderet. She reprised Granny on Baby Looney Tunes and in The Looney Tunes Show (2011), her last regular role. She is credited with the idea for the Annie Awards in 1972.
