Biography

The first single, "Why Don't Girls Like Me?", caught on locally, and the following year Marc with a C took home the Orlando Weekly's Best Acoustic Act award. The making of his second album, Bubblegum Romance (2004), hit a rough patch. Sirdoreus had originally planned it as a big arena rock project, but after two years of work, he scrapped everything and cut the whole thing in just two days with Chris Zabriskie producing and handling drums. Since then, he has stuck to a pace of one album per year, putting out titles like This World is Scary as Fuck, Life's So Hard, Normal Bias, Linda Lovelace for President, and Pop! Pop! Pop!. He has also dropped various EPs, hits collections, and "Official Bootlegs" from live shows. In 2009, he made all his album mp3s available for free online, while still selling CDs and tracks through iTunes. Around Orlando, Marc with a C is famous for marathon concerts that can stretch nearly three hours, mixing in covers from The Who to songs from Shock Treatment, the sequel to The Rocky Horror Picture Show. He was a regular at the nerd music festival Nerdapalooza in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. They kicked off a reissue series with Linda Lovelace For President in 2025, which came out alongside Steamed Hams.
