Content

The album contains ten tracks, nine of which are demos or lesser known songs by the band. The remaining track is a live cover of a Temple of the Dog song featuring its lead vocalist Chris Cornell. The track listing includes all tracks from the retail compilation Songs from the Underground (2008) in the same order, with the addition of "Across the Line" and "Pretend to Be" as bonus tracks.

Background

"And One" and "Part of Me" both show up on LP Underground 1.0, which is a reissue of the Hybrid Theory EP, and these two tracks first came out on November 28, 2008, as part of Songs from the Underground. "Dedicated (Demo 1999)" appears on LP Underground 2.0 and also made its way onto Songs from the Underground. "Sold My Soul to Yo Mama" is found on LP Underground 4.0; it samples "Points of Authority" and "Papercut" from the band's debut album Hybrid Theory (2000) and originally appeared on Songs from the Underground.

"Announcement Service Public" and "Qwerty" are included in LP Underground 6.0, both originally from Songs from the Underground. "My December (Live 2008) [Piano Version]" came out in 2008 and is heard on Songs from the Underground. A cover of Temple of the Dog's "Hunger Strike," performed by Chris Cornell with Chester Bennington, appears on the band's second EP, Songs from the Underground. "Across the Line" is on LP Underground 9.0: Demos.

"Pretend to Be" is on LP Underground X: Demos, which was first released on November 17, 2010, through Machine Shop and the LP Underground website.
