Plot

Lincoln Loud is excited because he has convinced his parents to let him have a sleepover with his best friend Clyde McBride, after sleepovers were banned due to incidents caused by his sisters Lynn, Leni, and Luna. Clyde arrives dropped off by both his dads, but soon Lincoln's sisters Lisa, Lola, Lynn, Leni, Lori, and Lana take Clyde away for their own needs, making Lincoln jealous. Desperate, Lincoln calls his other friends, but they also leave because of his sisters. Lincoln realizes Clyde, as an only child, is the only one who can handle his sisters' antics. He goes to Clyde's house to apologize, but discovers Clyde never left; he had fainted every time he saw Lori, and his fathers had put stuffed animals in his bed. Lincoln apologizes and abandons the itinerary. While watching a movie with his sisters and Clyde, Clyde faints again due to Lori's presence.

Reception

The introduction of Howard and Harold was met with a highly positive response from several media outlets. Dan Avery of NewNowNext described their casual and humorous introduction as a breath of fresh air. Laura Bradley of Vanity Fair called the casual representation in children's programming a milestone and said the episode handles the topic of same-sex marriage in exactly the right way. De Elizabeth of Teen Vogue noted that the show does not treat these characters any differently or introduce them with a heavy asterisk about their marital status. The scene also received a positive response on Twitter. One interracial married gay couple with an African-American daughter who was a fan of the series read about the episode before it aired and watched it with her; her immediate response was that Clyde's family closely resembled theirs. The family emailed writer Kevin Sullivan about their positive response.
