**Plot** A young girl named Jia-yi lives a refined life while listening to Mandarin lessons about time travel through her headphones. Throughout her day, she encounters symbols hinting at time travel and warnings to "beware the basket." Investigating these clues, she picks up a radio signal from Lenny, who invites "them" to join. She also hears David’s voice telling her to "follow the yellow bus."
On the street, she spots a red double-decker bus with yellow interior lights. Following it leads her to a door in an alley. Inside, after navigating a maze of clothing, she passes through a secret passage into a hippie community. Her guide, Salmon, shows her around the cult, which uses psychedelic drugs. A member named Squirrel tells Jia-yi her new name will be "Switch." She is then taken to a room to await the leader. Impatient, she reveals her mutant power by accelerating time. Lenny enters to invite her, but Switch insists on speaking with David.
Switch meets David, who has accepted his powers and appears more relaxed in nature. He seeks a time traveler to help save his friends. Suddenly, Division 3 agents raid the compound, killing some members. Kerry arrives and cuts off David’s right arm, prompting David to vaporize her and several agents.
