Alexi Lalas

Lalas was born in Birmingham, Michigan, and played college soccer at Rutgers University. He played for the U.S. national team in the 1994 FIFA World Cup and became the first American in Italy's Serie A with Padova. He later played for New England Revolution, Emelec, New York Red Bulls, and Kansas City Wizards before joining the Galaxy. After playing, he served as general manager of the San Jose Earthquakes, New York Red Bulls, and Los Angeles Galaxy. He was elected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2006.
