Background
Peter Criss plays on none of it, though he appears on the cover, in the 'Shandi' video and in the credits; session drummer Anton Fig played instead. It was the first Kiss album since Dressed to Kill not to go platinum, peaking at No. 35, and 'Shandi' was its only US chart single. The Unmasked Tour that followed was the first without Criss and the touring debut of Eric Carr, played almost entirely in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, with a single US show at the Palladium in New York.
