Kingsman Suit

The bespoke suiting of the Kingsman films, designed with a luxury retailer and sold to the public.

The Kingsman suit is the bespoke tailoring worn by the agents of the Kingsman films, whose organisation uses a tailor's shop as its front. For Kingsman: The Secret Service the suiting was designed by the luxury retailer Mr Porter together with the film's costume designer, Arianne Phillips.

Lore & Background

The accessories around the suit came from heritage brands: ties, shirts, eyewear, umbrellas, shoes and watches were made by names such as Cutler and Gross, George Cleverley, Mackintosh, Bremont and Adidas Originals. Director Matthew Vaughn and Mr Porter turned the wardrobe into a 60-piece clothing line, which made The Secret Service the first film from which viewers could buy all of the outfits seen on screen.

Reader's Guide

The tailoring setting came from Huntsman of Savile Row. Vaughn reportedly decided to set the film in a tailor's shop while visiting Huntsman for a fitting; he had been a customer there since ordering his first bespoke suit at eighteen. The Huntsman building served as the facade of the Kingsman shop, and Arianne Phillips's costume work was nominated at the Costume Designers Guild Awards for Excellence in Contemporary Film.
