Lawgiver Pistol

The Lawgiver is a pistol programmed to recognise only his palm-print and capable of firing six types of ammunition. It is the standard sidearm of Judge Dredd, the most famous of the Street Judges that patrol Mega-City One. The weapon is a key part of his equipment, alongside a daystick, a boot knife and stun or gas grenades. The Lawgiver is a sophisticated piece of technology, but its function is straightforward: it is a firearm that relies entirely on the Judge's own judgment and discretion to determine when and how to use it. It does not connect to any central database to verify criminal records or confirm sentences; it fires based solely on the Judge's command.
