Lore & Background

The game takes place on the fictional continent of Albion, 50 years after the events of Fable III. The player assumes the role of a Dweller named Gabriel, who travels with his tribe and his horse Seren. The story involves the blind seer Theresa, the Corrupter, and the search for three Willstones.

In Their Own Story

The wind found the robe first, catching the hem and pulling it taut against the stone. The player pressed forward, fingers finding the next ledge, the next crumbling step. Below, the ocean was a smear of blue so pale it might have been memory. Above, the peak was closer now, its light no longer a distant promise but a pressure behind the eyes.

Then the shadow fell across the path. The creature stepped into the frame of the sky, vast and unhurried, its breath a low rumble that vibrated in the chest. It did not look at the player. It did not need to. It simply turned its great head toward the summit and began to climb, and the player, without thought or ceremony, moved to its side. The wind screamed. The stone crumbled. And for a long, silent stretch of the path, two figures rose together into the thinning air.

Reader's Guide

Players use Kinect to manipulate magic by performing hand gestures to cast spells. Experience is collected to upgrade health and spells. A large portion of the game involves driving a horse by holding reins and guiding it along a path, as well as caring for the horse by petting, brushing, and tending to injuries.
