Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage: Friends of the Future is a 2012 Japanese animated action fantasy film based on the Pretty Cure franchise created by Izumi Todo. Directed by Junji Shimizu and written by Yoshimi Narita, it was produced by Toei Animation and released in Japan on March 17, 2012. The film is the fourth entry in the Pretty Cure All Stars crossover film series and the first installment of the New Stage trilogy.

Lore & Background
In Yokohama, the villain Fusion reappears and threatens the city. The Pretty Cures assemble and defeat Fusion, scattering its parts around the city. A girl named Ayumi Sakagami, who admires the Pretty Cures and witnesses the battle, struggles to make friends at her new school. She meets a small creature she names Fū-chan, unaware that it is a fragment of Fusion. The fairies gather and notice the scattered parts are trying to recombine, so they ask their respective Pretty Cure teams to search for the fragments.
