Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System, often called Psycho-Pass SS, is a set of three Japanese anime movies featuring characters from the Psycho-Pass TV series. The trilogy was revealed in 2018 and came out in Japan early the next year, produced by Production I.G and helmed by Naoyoshi Shiotani. The voice cast includes Ayane Sakura, Hiroki Touchi, Kana Hanazawa, Kenji Nojima, Kinryū Arimoto, and Tomokazu Seki, among others. In 2020, Crunchyroll issued an English dub starring Kate Oxley, Robert McCollum, Jessie James Grelle, Cherami Leigh, Lindsay Seidel, and Mike McFarland.
The first film, Case.1 Crime and Punishment, follows Enforcer Nobuchika Ginoza and Inspector Mika Shimotsuki as they look into a prison where inmates live cheerfully. The second, Case.2 First Guardian, centers on Tomomi Masaoka and Teppei Sugo, showing how they met after Sugo’s friends died. The third, On the Other Side of Love and Hate, focuses on mercenary Shinya Kogami as he trains a young girl seeking revenge while living in the Southeast Asian region. Different writers handled each film, but Shiotani directed all three, having planned the trilogy with hints for the third season, Psycho-Pass 3. Anime Limited released the trilogy on Blu-ray in English regions in 2021, and Crunchyroll licensed it for streaming in 2022, with an English dub arriving in 2020.
