The light novel series was originally posted on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website beginning in October 2020. Kodansha began publishing it under their Kodansha Ranobe Books imprint in August 2021, with five volumes released as of August 2024. A manga adaptation illustrated by Yuki Monji started serialization on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket service in July 2021, compiled into twenty volumes as of July 2026.

Yet fate intervenes when he crosses paths again with Yorha Eisentz, a former comrade from the legendary adventuring party known as Lasting Period. Accepting the call, Alec steps back into the life of a dungeon explorer, trading the gilded corridors of the court for the uncertain depths of the underground, and embarks on a fresh chapter defined by ambition and the drive to become the strongest.

The franchise quickly outgrew its light novel roots. A manga adaptation drawn by Yuki Monji launched serialization on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket digital platform on July 26, 2021, and by July 2026 its chapters had been collected into twenty tankōbon volumes. English-speaking readers can access the manga through Kodansha's K Manga app. The anime adaptation was officially announced on March 21, 2025, and production fell to studio Gekkou under director Ken Takahashi, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu on series composition, Yōko Satō on character design, and the musical duo KOUICHI and Tsubasa Takada scoring the soundtrack. The series broadcast from October 4 to December 20, 2025, within the IMAnimation programming block on TV Asahi and its affiliate stations. Kiro Akiyama performed the opening theme "Quest," while Aruma sang the closing track "Kakera." For international audiences, Crunchyroll carries the stream, and Medialink secured Southeast Asian distribution via Ani-One Asia's YouTube channel.
