The Ukrainian men's national ice hockey team represents Ukraine in international competition. It is overseen by the Ice Hockey Federation of Ukraine and belongs to the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Before independence, Ukrainian players competed as part of the Soviet Union from 1954 until 1991. The team first played as an independent nation in 1992. As of the 2020 IIHF World Ranking, Ukraine sits in 27th place, with its best-ever ranking being 11th. The squad has made a single Winter Olympic appearance, in 2002. Its top result at the World Championships came that same year, finishing ninth. After the 2007 tournament, Ukraine was moved down to Division I.
