Plot

Inspired by a real-life incident, the film follows a serial killer who causes panic across Hyderabad. The story begins with the murder of a young woman. As police investigate and media coverage spreads, more murders occur. Special officer Gautam (Vishnu Manchu) takes the case and tries to determine the motive behind the killings. The murderer is identified as a taxi driver, and Gautam informs the media, but under pressure from the Home minister (Kota Srinivasa Rao), he retracts his statement. The murders continue, and Gautam advises people not to go out after dark, yet the killer strikes in daylight. The serial killer is nearly caught when he attempts to murder a TV reporter; police arrive but he escapes, killing two officers. The media later receives the killer's photo. The killer's mother is arrested and interrogated; she reveals that as a child, her son killed animals in the same manner as the girls. The serial killer then goes to Gautam's house and kills his wife. He is traced again while trying to murder Sailaja (Revathi) and another girl. Gautam arrives and intends to kill him in the same way, but Sailaja stops him, saying the killer needs mental help. The serial killer is arrested, and Gautam walks away.
