Reception
Sidharth Varma of The Times of India noted that the film relies on the absurdity of CB-CID officers, which often feels unrealistic, but acknowledged that Vivek and his crew’s antics would entertain frontbenchers. He praised Rajkumar’s cinematography while pointing out flaws in the plot and screenplay’s consistency. The movie was initially said to be remade as Paisa Ho Paisa, but it was actually just re-edited and dubbed into Hindi because Hindi actors were already in the cast. Another Times of India critic dismissed it as a poorly made dramedy, neither a sci-fi nor comparable to Mr. India, wishing they could vanish from the theater. A Mumbai Mirror critic expressed disappointment, hoping the screening would reveal itself as an April Fools joke, but concluded that the joke was on the audience.
