Later, a professor and researcher named Goraknath tries to capture Naagini for revenge. He ships snakes to Andaman, and Amrutha accidentally follows them there. Goraknath captures Naagini, but Arjun rescues her. Rudra, who was earlier killed by Amrutha, is resurrected by the power of the Naagamani. Triveni, the family head, is revealed to be Damayanti from the Naaga clan, and Arjun is actually a Nagayoda—a powerful mahanaga—who incarnates to protect the Naagamani. The story also involves a village named Vishnupura that worships Garuda, where Rudra and Shatrughna plot against Amrutha. An apsara named Urmila later enters, seeking the Naagamani, and causes Amrutha to lose her sight.
