Plot
Sundaram works as a music director for ad films. He is physically unattractive but has a kind heart. His appearance causes him to be rejected by every potential bride and their families. During one arranged meeting, a woman named Suvarna initially finds him repulsive. Later, after she marries a handsome but cruel man, she realizes Sundaram’s good nature and apologizes to him. Another time, a married woman confesses to Sundaram that she loves someone else. He helps her unite with that man, which leaves him humiliated. His sister Sudha and her husband Viswanatham then arrange a match for him with a girl named Sujatha. On the night before the wedding, Sujatha reveals she is pregnant by her brother-in-law. Sundaram marries them instead.
After these failures, Sundaram hears about Mohini Pisachi, female ghosts who hunt for men at night. Unable to attract any living woman, he decides to make a deal with these spirits and seeks help from a fake sorcerer. While returning home, a young woman named Ramya sneaks into his car and then into his house without his knowledge. She watches him try to contact the Mohini and begins pretending to be one herself. They grow close as she plays this game. One day, Ramya reveals herself when she protects Sundaram from danger. Shocked, he asks who she is. She explains that she is the sister of the famous actress Madhuri, who wants to force Ramya into acting because her own career is failing. Ramya ran away and ended up with Sundaram. He lets her stay, and his life improves. They enjoy each other’s company, his work succeeds, and Ramya helps him improve his appearance so that people who once mocked him now respect him.
