Leonar3Do is an integrated software and hardware platform for creating three-dimensional virtual reality (VR) environments on desktop computers and other devices. It allows users to create, manipulate, and analyze three-dimensional objects in a three-dimensional space. The platform was invented by Daniel Rátai in Budapest, Hungary, and is developed and marketed by Leonar3Do International Inc.

Lore & Background
Daniel Rátai's childhood interest in spatial 3D drawing led him to develop the first edition of Leonar3Do, which won second prize in the National High School Competition in Innovation of 2004. In 2005, the Hungarian Association for Innovation asked him to represent Hungary at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, where the project earned multiple awards including the Intel Foundation Young Scientist Award and several special awards. That same year, he founded 3D For All Ltd., now Leonar3Do International Inc.
The Leonar3Do platform features a spatial input device called the 'bird' with six degrees of movement, 3D glasses with infra-LEDs, three tracking sensors placed on top of the display, and a central panel for bi-directional communication. The sensors track the position of the glasses and the bird, sending data to the central unit, which transmits it to the computer and system software to generate a complete 3D VR environment. The platform also includes a software development kit for creating new applications.
Patronage for the Leonar3Do education project was taken over by the Conference of Hungarian Rectors in December 2009, and the development team achieved their primary objective of turning the invention into a finished 3D VR product in 2010. In 2011, venture capital from PortfoLion enabled mass-production of the VR kit.
