Plot

The world of Tokion contains a dome-shaped ancient ruin discovered inside a thick jungle. During excavation, an egg-shaped robot was found inside the ruins containing a sleeping man who would not wake up. Scientists took him to a laboratory along with the machine for further study. Analysis revealed the machine was over 5000 years old and had no identifiable power source. It became known as Elemental Gimmick Gear, or EGG. Over years, copies of the EGG were produced and used as personal robots. One hundred years later, the ruin became active after a group of robots activated a button, unleashing a holographic face called Psycho Mother. These robots belonged to a gang called The Pirates. The incident was dubbed The Breeding, as Psycho Mother created tentacles that spread across the land, destroying everything and spawning monsters and robots. A thick fog called Fogna surrounded the ruin. At the same time, the Sleeper awoke, having not aged since his discovery and with no memory of his past. Selen, who was with him, set him free and named him Leon. She sent him to Fogna to find clues about what happened 5100 years ago and to stop The Breeding. While exploring Fogna, Leon battles enemies and obtains a Fire Stone. He returns to the village to learn Selen was kidnapped by The Pirates, a gang led by Juji, the brutal dictator of Tokion.

Characters

Leon, also called the Sleeper, is the main character. He was found frozen in a sleeping pod in the laboratory of Dr. Yam, having slept for 5000 years inside the original EGG. Selen, the scientist watching over him, gives him the default name Leon, though the player may rename him. Dr. Yam is the head doctor at YAM Ruin Laboratory, founded by his father, and has spent his life studying the Sleeper. He treats Selen like a daughter. Selen works in the laboratory caring for the Sleeper; she allows him to leave and always supports him. Luckie is an orphan who lost his parents during the Fogna activation and lives near the laboratory with his younger sister, leading local orphans.
