Plot

Ngau’s grandfather betrayed his country during the Second Sino-Japanese War and killed a man named Keung along with his entire family. After dying, Keung turned into a vengeful ghost and swore to get back at the Ngau bloodline. Not long after Ngau’s wife gave birth to their son Fai, Keung’s ghost murdered her. Terrified of losing Fai too, Ngau went to a ghostbuster called Mrs Bud Lung. She told him to run a food stall at night so that ghost customers would eat there and, in return, shield his family from Keung. Years later, Fai grew up and fell for a woman named Sally, who tricked him into selling his father’s land. If the land went, the stall would be lost, and the ghost patrons would stop protecting them. Fai knocked his father out, took his seal, and signed a contract with Sally—only to discover she had duped him. Ngau’s friends managed to destroy the contract, but Keung had already made Fai die in a car crash. Driven by love for his son, Ngau gave himself up to satisfy Keung, and Fai was revived. To honor his father, Fai and his wife kept running the night food stall for ghost customers.
