Blah Records was founded in 2006 by Lee Scott and producer Molotov, with Milkavelli (then Monster Under the Bed) also originally listed as a director. The label initially released music for the rap posse Children of the Damned, which later rebranded as Cult of the Damned in 2015. Lee Scott and Salar Saajedi, both from near Liverpool, are the current managers, directors, and shareholders, with Salar as Managing Director and Lee as Creative Director. Molotov left the label around 2008/2009 to return to Switzerland, and Stephen Makinson (producer Reklews) joined as label manager around 2010, leaving that role in 2016 but remaining as an artist. Salar took over managerial duties in 2015. The label has been registered with Companies House twice: 2006–2009 and ongoing since 2016.

Blah Records has carved a distinct niche in British hip hop through its pseudo cult inspired branding and eclectic, psychedelic boom-bap sound that inverts hip-hop cliches.
