Upon This Rock (Heroes)

Plot

Claire Bennet is still staying with Samuel Sullivan and his carnival group, but she starts to doubt him after finding her father Noah Bennet’s Primatech files inside Samuel’s trailer. Samuel tells her that he and her dad share more than she realizes, then heads to the city to bring in another member. Claire feels uneasy because Eli is always watching her; Samuel told Claire she could leave whenever she wants, but he secretly ordered Eli to keep an eye on her and stop her from going.

Claire asks Lydia about Samuel, and Lydia worries that his drive to gather people with abilities might not be good for them, pushing Claire to look inside his trailer. Claire tries to get in, but Eli is guarding it. She shakes him off in the house of mirrors and knocks him out. Inside, she discovers many files on people with abilities and a desert map, but Eric Doyle catches her and wants to know what she’s doing.

Claire says Samuel is hiding something, but Doyle doesn’t want her to wreck the only home they have. Claire insists she doesn’t intend to, so Doyle gives in and tells her to ask Lydia. Lydia reveals that Samuel killed his own brother, but then Eli grabs Claire. Meanwhile, Hiro Nakamura has disappeared from the carnival and shows up in Tokyo, where he asks street vendors odd questions about comics and sci-fi like Batman, Star Trek, Star Wars, and Sherlock Holmes.

He gets arrested after using a knife to stop a purse snatching, and Ando Masahashi picks him up from the station. Ando worries that Hiro’s brain tumor might be messing with his mind, but then realizes Hiro is trying to pass along a message. Looking through Hiro’s comic collection, Ando figures out that Hiro wants them to visit a psychiatric hospital in Florida, and he’s excited to travel with Hiro again.
