Cenobite Hooks

Hooked chains that emerge from the puzzle box to tear flesh and ensnare victims in the Cenobites' realm.

Cenobite hooks are the signature implements of the Cenobites, a group of extra-dimensional, sadomasochistic beings who cannot differentiate between pain and pleasure. In the 1987 film Hellraiser, these hooks emerge from hooked chains that tear apart victims, such as Frank Cotton when he solves the puzzle box in his attic. The hooks are part of the Cenobites' method of subjecting individuals to extreme sadomasochism, serving as tools to ensnare and tear flesh, as seen when they ensnare Frank with chains with hooks and tear him to pieces after he confesses to killing Larry.
