Divine Shield

A holy barrier that absorbs the first blow, granting a second chance at survival.

Divine Shield is a keyword ability in Hearthstone. When a minion with Divine Shield takes damage, the shield shatters and the minion survives without taking any harm. This mechanic forces opponents to use two separate actions to remove a protected creature.

Reader's Guide

Divine Shield functions by preventing a minion from taking damage once. When a minion with this keyword is attacked or hit by a targeted spell, the shield breaks immediately, but the minion survives without losing any health points.
