Playing career

Nakládal began his professional career in the Czech Extraliga with HC Pardubice, making his debut in the 2006–07 season. During his sixth season with the club, after establishing himself as a defensive defenseman, he transferred mid-season to the Kontinental Hockey League with Salavat Yulaev Ufa in 2011–12. Following stints with HC Spartak Moscow and HC Lev Praha, he signed in the Finnish Liiga with TPS Turku for the 2014–15 season, where he contributed 15 points in 50 games and attracted attention from NHL scouts. On 19 May 2015, he agreed to a one-year two-way contract with the Calgary Flames. He began the 2015–16 season with the AHL affiliate Stockton Heat, was recalled to Calgary, and played his first NHL game on 9 February 2016. He recorded his first NHL goal on 1 March 2016 against the Boston Bruins. After going unsigned over the summer, he signed a one-year deal with the Carolina Hurricanes on 9 October 2016. He appeared in only three games with the Hurricanes, was placed on waivers, and assigned to the AHL. After refusing to report to the Charlotte Checkers, his contract was terminated on 14 November 2016. He returned to the KHL on 2 December 2016, signing a one-year deal with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. After four seasons with Lokomotiv, he returned to the Czech Republic and rejoined HC Dynamo Pardubice on a three-year contract on 17 June 2020. His contract was mutually terminated in January 2022, and later that year he announced his retirement, citing a lack of passion for hockey despite multiple offers from other Extraliga clubs.
