Playing career

Limoges was a productive scorer in junior hockey and helped the Tri-City Storm win the Clark Cup in 2016. He began his college career in 2017 with Penn State, providing complementary scoring as a freshman. Although the team won seven fewer games than the previous year, he participated in their NCAA Tournament appearance. In his sophomore season, Limoges started strongly and maintained his pace, breaking the program record for most points in a single season and finishing tied for the national scoring lead. His performance helped Penn State achieve a 22-win season and reach the Big Ten championship game. Due to PairWise rankings, both Penn State and Notre Dame needed to win that game to qualify for the NCAA Tournament; Limoges was held without a point, and Penn State lost 2–3. As an upperclassman, his scoring declined, though he remained one of the team's top forwards and was no longer in contention for the national scoring title. Penn State finished atop the Big Ten in 2020 and were nearly guaranteed a return to the NCAA Tournament, but the COVID-19 pandemic caused the cancellation of all winter and spring tournaments. The pandemic also delayed the start of the following season; Limoges returned as team captain. He averaged a point per game, but the Nittany Lions finished with a losing record for the first time since 2014. After Penn State was eliminated from contention, Limoges signed a try-out contract with the San Diego Gulls for the remainder of the season and performed well at the AHL level. He re-signed with the club for the 2021–22 season. As an undrafted free agent after a productive 2021–22 AHL season, he signed a one-year, entry-level contract with the Winnipeg Jets on July 14, 2022. In 2022–23, he played for the Jets' affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, recording career highs of 34 assists and 54 points in 63 games. As a free agent after his Jets contract ended, he signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Washington Capitals on July 3, 2023.
