(CVC Capital Partners) bought the Ahmedabad-based Indian Premier League cricket franchise (Gujarat Titans) for ₹56,250 million (US$580 million). This acquisition marked CVC's entry into the IPL, providing the financial foundation for the franchise's launch in the 2022 season.
