Lore & Background

Balthazar was banished to the Mists by the other gods after his fall from grace, not imprisoned there. He later escaped and returned to Tyria. He was already a god and did not ascend to godhood. His defeat occurred in the Domain of Vabbi at the Sanctum of the Six, not at the Forgotten City of Ahdashim.
