Last updated
Behra-Porsche was a Formula One constructor that participated in four World Championship Grands Prix during the 1959 and 1960 seasons, starting and finishing two races in 1960 without scoring championship points. The car was commissioned by French driver Jean Behra, who had Porsche build a Formula 2 single-seater using components from the Porsche 718 RSK, with a chassis designed by former Maserati engineer Valerio Colotti. Painted in Bleu de France, it first appeared at the 1959 Monaco Grand Prix driven by Maria Teresa de Filippis, who failed to qualify. The car was later acquired by Lloyd Casner for Camoradi International, with Masten Gregory and Fred Gamble driving it in its two World Championship race finishes.
