In the film *Studio 666*, the Foo Fighters are planning to make their tenth studio album and record in an old abandoned house with great acoustics. After frontman Dave Grohl develops writer's block, he finds a demonic book and a half-completed tape from the last band to record there, deciding it will be their next album. Throughout the movie, the band records the album as the songs get longer and Grohl becomes increasingly unhinged. The rest of the band learns from their neighbor that the previous band were Satan worshippers whose frontman was possessed by the book, leading to the deaths of that band. In the film, Grohl kills guitarist Chris Shiflett, keyboardist Rami Jaffee, and drummer Taylor Hawkins before the two surviving members (Nate Mendel and Pat Smear) turn the house pool into holy water and save Grohl.
