FN 510
Striker-fired 10mm Auto pistol from FN America.
Last updated
The FN 510 is a polymer frame striker-fired semi-automatic pistol manufactured by FN America, a division of FN Herstal. It is chambered in 10mm Auto.
Design
The FN 510 is based on the FN 509 and uses a stainless steel slide with a ferritic nitrocarburizing finish. The polymer frame is available in black or flat dark earth (FDE). The backstrap accepts interchangeable inserts, one arched and one flat. Serrations on both front and rear of the slide aid manipulation.
The pistol has ambidextrous magazine releases and slide locks, and a Picatinny rail forward of the trigger guard. Instead of a manual safety, it incorporates four passive safety systems: a striker block, drop safety, trigger disconnect, and trigger safety lever. Standard magazines hold 15 rounds, with 10-round magazines offered for jurisdictions with capacity restrictions.
