Zinho

Crizam César de Oliveira Filho, commonly called Zinho, is a Brazilian football commentator and retired midfielder. Born on 17 June 1967, he was a left-footed playmaker praised for his close control, precise passing, and ability to control a game's rhythm. He also belongs to the exclusive group of players who have made more than 1,000 senior appearances.

At club level, Zinho is most associated with Flamengo and Palmeiras. He won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A four times—twice with Palmeiras, once with Flamengo, and once with Cruzeiro—and lifted the Copa Libertadores with Palmeiras in 1999. Internationally, he was a regular for Brazil during their victorious 1994 FIFA World Cup campaign, starting all seven matches in the tournament.

Zinho began his professional career in Brazil, representing Flamengo, Palmeiras, Grêmio, Cruzeiro, and Nova Iguaçu. He also played abroad for Japan's Yokohama Flügels and the United States' Miami FC. His domestic honours include three Campeonato Carioca titles, all with Flamengo.

On the international stage, Zinho was part of Brazil's 1994 World Cup-winning squad. He also featured in the 1993 and 1995 Copa América tournaments, earning a runners-up medal in the latter, and was a member of the Brazilian team that finished third at the 1998 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Between March 1989 and February 1998, he earned 55 caps and scored seven goals. In January 2010, he was ranked 23rd in the USL First Division's Top 25 of the Decade, a list recognising the best and most influential players from the previous ten years.
